Slips, Trips & Falls

Slips, trips and falls are a major category of accidents within the workplace and result in a significant number of injuries. Most of these accidents occur by:

  • Obstructions on the floor
  • Wet, slippery or uneven floors and pathways
  • Lack of signs
  • Inadequate lighting
  • Misuse of equipment
  • Poor and inadequate footwear

The most effective method of prevention is to eliminate the hazard — keep your work area clean and tidy, with equipment in its correct place and away from walkways.
